Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high...

...Take a look, it's in a book - Reading Rainbow.

Here are some books im reading back and forth:

The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson:

This is a non-fiction book describing both the events leading up to the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition (aka Chicago World's Fair) and the serial killings by H.H. Holmes (America's 1st serial killer, pretty much).

So far, this book is really good and its winning as my favorite, though i enjoy the part about Holmes more so than the part about the fair construction. I have learned a lot though, i cant even imagine a fair like that one, nowadays.

We Thought You'd Be Prettier by Laurie Notaro:

Ok, so i haven't read much of this, but Katy said she likes the way Notaro writes, so i will believe her. I was just too excited about serial killing...

The Game by Neil Strauss:

Ok, so I’ve already read this book (in pdf version online) but I’m reading it again b/c i just recently became re-interested in the PUA community. That’s Pick-Up Artist, btw, as in men who actively practice picking up women and have created a community to discuss tips and strategies. Plenty of fun abbreviations in this book describing the author's rise from AFC (Average Frustrated Chump) to the reigning Pick Up Artist in the world (though he was actually dethroned last year). The reason why this book is so exciting is b/c before reading it a friend and I encountered a PUA in real life. I will discuss this more in a future blog post. but for those interested in reading his book (he’s actually a very fluid and engaging writer), you can d/l it here...
